Nearly week 38 and the nesting impulse is strong
In the last three days, the house has seen new rugs, cute little baskets to hold all of Hambletiny’s stuff, a dusting of all the baseboards, a re-configured home office area — I’ve even reorganized my iPhone app directories!
The books tell me Sarah should get her nesting groove on very soon.
Two additional non-sequiturs (before I scrub the floors under the desk):
1. Pre-apology to our neighbors: We’ve heard from personal experience that the walls are kind of thin, so we are sorry that we’ll inevitably be sharing some of our parenting experience with you. If you knew some of the sounds we’ve heard at odd hours of the night and day, you’d appreciate the sweet irony of keeping one particular neighbor up with baby’s cries.
2. Does anyone have any hints on how I can shred 2 boxes’ worth of old documents? (Think old tax records and phone bills.) We have a consumer grade shredder here that would take about 8 hours to do the job. Any ideas?

Re: shredding, you should take them into Widener and give them to Tom. He has a crazy shredder that will make quick work of your boxes.
Alternatively, buy a better shredder. I bought a really nice one for about $40 when we had a few bags of things to shred last month.

Before becoming a parent, a little gasoline, a lighter and some s’more fixn’s would be all that you’d need… shredding – you are so responsible now.

What? You don’t have 8 hours to spare?

Rush, I’ll shred ’em for $15 per hour.
Hey, I have nothing better to do!!! LOL
