My NASCAR Moment

Kip StockwellIt might be hard to imagine how I went from broken down on the side of the road to NASCAR limelight last Sunday, but I did. More, after the jump.

See that blue car up there? Its pit chief, and the driver’s father, happens to drive a tow truck and rescued me from the side of the road last Sunday near Randolph, Vermont. In just another example of how biodiesel brings the world together, Lenny Stockwell eventually overcame his apprehension of a Cambridge based bio-diesel-consuming yuppie whose filter froze like a soy popscicle. In the process of riding in the truck with Lenny, I learned all about his son’s amateur NASCAR campaign, the state of motorsports sponsorship, and the best way to pick a color for a race car (mix all the free paint friends give you, then add a pint of white for good measure. Looks a lot like dude blue, eh?).

If you ever need a racecar driver, tow truck, or excellent mechanic near Braintree Vermont, you’ll be lucky to get the help of Team Stockwell. Thanks Lenny and good luck, Kip!
