What if you never had to calculate a tip again?

receipt2.jpgStop Squinting. That’s a restaurant receipt over there and it’s the best visual I could think of to introduce a conversation I want to have with you all.

I recently went to breakfast at a place that had so many options, I couldn’t choose which one I wanted. In fact, I never had to choose, because I asked the server to surprise me and choose what I would eat. She thought it was entertaining, I was glad I didn’t have to choose, and I still got my bacon.

By the time the tab came around, a new discussion started; What would happen if you let your server decide how much a tip she/he would get? You know, like in those gut college courses where the professor allows you to write your report card comments.

Is anyone willing to try this and comment back? The sociologist in me wants to know what happens!
