Today marks the three-week anniversary of a little project Sarah and I have been working on.
It’s called Flickr365, and we are joining more than seven thousand people in uploading a photo every day this (leap) year. Don’t tire yourself out searching for the global good in this endeavor. It’s just simply a fun thing to do and should make for fun reading at the end of the year.
In fact, if you look to the right of your screen, you can see the most recent pics we’ve uploaded.

Santa was on a aviation bent this Christmas, bringing me a veritable remote-controlled air fleet. (Sarah and?) I are proud owners of both a helicopter and an airplane. It quickly became a broken airplane and the excruciatingly delicate repair didn’t happen until this morning when my steady-handed friend James helped me fix it.
Think excruciating is an exaggeration? Check out this picture and decide for yourself. (Close up of the broken part is here.)
On the opposite end of spectrum is a styrofoam helicopter that my cousin brought to a Yankee Swap in California. Though its not any easier to fly, the Air Hogs Havoc-Heli-copter is a lot tougher and crash resistant.
Helmets are now recommended anywhere in the airspace of our loft condo. You’ve been warned.

Pop, for those of you without family in the shewwwbiz, is an on-air reference or greeting. A shout out to the friends and family back home. And that’s exactly what my nephew Will got in his first week on the planet thanks to a nice mention by Brent Musburger on ABC Sports. Read the rest of this entry »

See that shiny trough to the left? It held enough bacon to fill all my pockets, socks, and sleeves. I know that because the picture was taken on my wedding day, and even then I contemplated how I could make off with it all so Sarah and I could have it to ourselves.
Well, it seems Sarah and I have found someone who likes bacon as much as we have. Read more about the power of swine after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

Fun news on the scooter front. For those who were curious, the Scooter Menorah post was a joke, though the Italian girl did remain here in the parking lot well into the month of December. Luckily there isn’t a child-protective-services of scooters, so I still get to keep it.
I’m paying a penance in the form of a minor winter overhaul. Talking to the mechanic, it turns out that just about every Vespa enthusiast in Massaschusetts knows about the trouble I had at the scooter rally through a widely circulated YouTube video that I never saw. Check it out after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

My new friends Rob and Doug made a movie — and they let me be in it. It’s chock-a-block full of inside jokes, but if you don’t mind being a little miffed at the school humor, you’re welcome to check it out.
Helpful hints: You’ll see lots of printed pages in this movie. They are participation evaluation sheets used at my school. Check marks on the left indicate excellent performance, middle is well, middle, and on the right part of the page indicates poor performance. Students get to turn in their self evaluations and professors return them with their own assessment. Oh, and “Techmark” is a business simulation game we all played at the start of the year.
Lights, camera, action!

If you’ve ever been to Rush and Sarah-ville, you know that we have lots of volume but not much space around here. So we had to choose our Christmas decorations carefully. Click to read more Read the rest of this entry »

You can find the strangest things in the Trader Joe’s parking lot. Like this bumper stickler (placed on the middle of the trunk – I’ll never undertand why people do such things to their car’s metal parts).
It says “Cats NOT Kids.” Anyone care to interpret?
