Santa was on a aviation bent this Christmas, bringing me a veritable remote-controlled air fleet. (Sarah and?) I are proud owners of both a helicopter and an airplane. It quickly became a broken airplane and the excruciatingly delicate repair didn’t happen until this morning when my steady-handed friend James helped me fix it.

Think excruciating is an exaggeration? Check out this picture and decide for yourself. (Close up of the broken part is here.)

On the opposite end of spectrum is a styrofoam helicopter that my cousin brought to a Yankee Swap in California. Though its not any easier to fly, the Air Hogs Havoc-Heli-copter is a lot tougher and crash resistant.

Helmets are now recommended anywhere in the airspace of our loft condo. You’ve been warned.
